Rising Strong 2025 – Heather Houston

Rising Strong was originally written in 2018. This version has more fun parts for your singers. When I lead it at a song circle, or with my choir, we sing all five parts. When I lead it at a rally, I just teach part one and part four for time and simplicity sake. Have fun!

This one dropped in while in deep meditation one morning. I often receive little medicine chants while in meditation, but don’t often record them. This one wanted to have wings, so I recorded it while still in a state of calm. If you listen closely, you can hear birds chirping in the background.

The Earth Holds Me – Heather Houston

For the moments we need to feel held and connected – to be able to sink in and feel resourced. I use the lyrics earth, sea, tree, sky, stars, but please use as a zipper song and invite yourself or your participants to bring their ideas in to the mix.
